Reflection
I never paid much attention to the differing ways I produce different mediums. Before this podcast, I never contemplated as to why I have made more drawings than paintings. However, after finishing this podcast, I realized that I see paintings as being more permanent. I can't erase paint as easily as a pencil line, which is why I like to take my time with paintings. I am tech challenged, so naturally I was terrified of this project on the first day. However, after finishing and uploading it, I realized that it wasn't as painful as I thought it would be. I don't think I will ever stop asking myself, "Is that what I really sound like," but it was a good project. I might have my future students create a podcast someday. |

Reflection
The creation of this game was my first introduction into the world of game coding. I spent a lot of time working on it at home. On one particular day I spent 12 hours working nonstop, and time just flew by. I was getting better at telling the system to do what I wanted it to do, but there were a couple of times in which frustration set in. I have a tendency to want to figure things out on my own, but I would not have been able to finish it without the help of our professor and a few of my friends. I was close to looking for holy intervention at times! Coding is such an important part of life, and I am glad I had this experience. If given the opportunity, I would incorporate this into a lesson plan and show students the basics of game coding.

App Review and Lesson Plan Collaboration
Reflection
Technology is such prevalent component of our society and as a future teacher it is important to incorporate it effectively within the classroom. Phones and apps are part of a teenagers daily use and the purpose of this collaborated lesson plan is to take something of everyday life and bring awareness of social issues. Art, such as that of Banksy, provides a unique way in which political and social issues are brought to life. Will Tran and I strived to recreate the style of Banksy, where monochromatic tones are used and a hint of color is added to create emphasis. Emphasis is such an important principle in art and it was amazing to see how highlighting a single component can automatically make a message more powerful. In the future, I would use this app to show students that they have the means to create, and showcase, powerful imagery that is readily available to them everyday; this is also an effective way in which everyday technology and apps can serve a higher purpose.

Stop Motion Animation
|
Reflection
This was my first time creating anything in any type of animation style. The amount of time and work I put into this project rivals that of the video game I created a few weeks ago. I have respect for all the arts. However, after completing this video, I find that I have a deeper respect and understanding for such a technical form of art. It challenged me, and made me get out of my comfort zone. This is a project I would incorporate in one of my classes, but due to the amount of work it requires, I would make the students work in groups. I am very proud of this video and I would like to give a special thanks to Jesus Cueva, a graphic designer, who provided much needed support, help, and feedback in the creation of this project. The final product would not have been the same without him. |

Mythology PowerPoint Presentation and Quiz
Reflection
I had a lot of fun making this PowerPoint and seeing the images move onto the map. I think this is a great way to engage students in lecture and I was surprised to see how easy it is to add these animations. I equally enjoyed the process of making a Kahoot quiz. I thought I would struggle with the animation portions of the PowerPoint and that I would have trouble creating the quiz but Kahoot makes the process easy and the animations were not hard to achieve. This particular assignment is probably one of the main things I wish to incorporate within my future classrooms.

How to Make Your Own Pins
|
Reflection
For this assignment I wanted to make something that I love wearing. I think pins are an amazing way to show your personality, specially when you work in an environment that requires formal clothing. I initially did this tutorial with me talking and discussing what I was going to be making. However, listening to myself is still very difficult. So, I decided to remove the audio, add a song, and some simple instructions instead. I think this is a great assignment for students. It is not too difficult to create and students can show their creativity in a different manner. |
